Painter Jonas Wallström was born in Arbrå in 1798 and lived there all his life. He produced several interiors in his home town, including in the Gästgifvars farm in Vallsta, on which this wallpaper is based. Wallström liked to work with stencils and in a clean and clear colour scheme.
