1700-1800

During the 18th century, wallpapers were largely characterized by light flowers in sparse patterns. These wallpapers were often characterized by a diagonal or trellis-like structure. In addition to floral patterns, it was common to have diagonal squares. Around the 1770s, it became popular to have various types of striping, preferably in blue and with or without flowers.
